Good len for Canon DSLR
Rating:5 out of 5 stars
Well designed, works perfectly with my Canon Rebel XS, good range, big range for focussing the target.
the complain maybe that i have is the autofocus is little slow, but for this lens, i better if you use in manually mode to achive the the picture as well you desired.
if you want a lens not spensive like other, this lens is a good choice.
i recomended this item.
Cons
Rating:5 out of 5 stars
many people have commented on the pros of this lens:
-reasonably fast AF
-good color balance
-sharp images
-great feel (sturdy, smooth focusing ring, nice look, very light)
But there are also several cons:
-When Chromatic Aberration shows up, there IS a lot of it
-zoom ring could be smoother
-AF is loud and annoying (grating and harsh; I can only stand to use the manual focus)
Overall, despite the negative qualities, this is a wonderful lens and a joy to use. My biggest surprise with this lens though was that is is great for photographing dragonflies and butterflies (what i use it for, but not what i bought it for).
For beginning DSLR users, it is well worth the price, and I consider it an amazing bargain. It is built well, it works well, and it delivers good pictures (though you will probably need a tripod, and you will probably be focusing this lens manually a lot)
Even if your’e not sure if you need a telephoto lens, get this one anyway, because you will never find a deal like this one!
Tamron AF-75-300 f/4.0-5.6 LD for Canon Digital SLR
Rating:5 out of 5 stars
I purchased this lens 3 weeks ago and I am quite happy with it. A friend let me borrow her Cannon 70-300 lens to try, starting reading the reviews on this lens and decided what the heck, for the price I am going to give it a try, thought both lens
took about the same pictures, and I am very happy that i purchased this lens, I have already received compliments about the quality. So for the price you can’t beat this lens and the warranty that comes with it, you would be silly not to get it.
Great lens!

I really enjoy using this lens on a regular basis to capture the squirrels in my back yard.

Great Lens!
Rating:5 out of 5 stars
I purchased the Tamron AF 75-300mm Lens after reading through all the reviews from other customers. I have a Canon EOS 20D and this was the perfect fit. I’m not a professional photographer (yet!), but this has been a great purchase. The auto focus is fairly quick and the zoom is just about right. I’ll post some pictures I’ve been taking with this lens from the past 2 weeks. Very nice for the price.
Beautiful, Affordable Camera Lens

Tamron has constructed a wonderful telephoto camera lens for Canon Cameras…! This lens helps in taking beautiful snapshots at a closer proximity than a regular standard zoom lens…! Really a nice zoom lens at an affordable price! Definitely recommend it for those wanting to capture some incredible wildlife photos…
Great Product

I looked at this product at other places for more than double the price. I was very pleased to see that when I received the item it was the same as the more costly ones. Great Product and they got the product to me fast.
A Good Buy So Far

This has been a great lens so far for the number of pictures that I have taken. I have only had it since Christmas. So far so good.

Nice lens
Rating:5 out of 5 stars
So far, I am very happy with this lens. My budget wouldn’t allow me to purchase the pricier lenses. After reading lots of positive reviews, I settled on the tamron. I have not regreted the purchase. The lens is a bit heavy and I always use a tripod with it otherwise I experience camera shake. The quality of photos that I get with this lens have been excellent for my purposes. I am not a professional, but this lens seems like a great deal for the price. I would recommend it to those who would like a zoom lens in the 75-300 range but can’t afford a lens that cost more than your camera.
Just What I Needed…
Rating:4 out of 5 stars
My once part-time hobby has turned into a part-time business. The amount of people who need Headshots in Los Angeles out-weighs the number of Photographers..supply and demand. The Tamron lens is just what I needed to meed the demand.
Don’t miss this bargain!

This is an excellent lens at an unbeatable price. Every image I’ve taken is crisp and sharp. Autofocus functions exactly the same on my Rebel XT body as the factory lens. Same speed, no added noise. This lens does not have image stabilization, but neither does the factory lens from the XT. For that matter, Ansel Adams didn’t have IS on his camera either. At higher zooms you must keep the camera steady. Thats not a fault in this lens, just the nature of the beast. You will capture movement if you move the camera. So for higher zooms you will most likely have to use a tripod. But over all, I find no fault in any function of this lens. Great materials, well made, great quality. And just look at the price!!!!
You get what you pay for!

This is a great starter lens. It is not too exspensive so you do get what you pay for. Make sure you have a tripod or your pictures will come out blurry. I’ve taken some good pictures so I would recommend this product for a beginner.
A Great Lens, But Will it Last?
Rating:3 out of 5 stars
I’m an amateur photographer, when i first got the lens i was very happy with it, i mean it was great, long distance, minimal chromatic abberation, but then a month after purchase, it was in my backpack, i asked my friend to pass the bag to me, and it dropped about half a foot, and now the zooming bearing no longer works
I mean don’t get me wrong it’s very good, if you beleive that you can take good care of it i would greatly suggest it as an entry level telephoto for the amateur photographer to experiment with.
I’m sure there are better Lenses, but if you’re going to pay much more money.
Pros: Cheap, Effective, Very good outdoors, Very Sharp at f/8.0, can’t be beat for the price
Cons: Bad indoors, no Image Stabilization so it’s not very stable under a shutter speed of 1/30, not very good shock resistant
Ultimately i would suggest this lens. Get it, it’s cheap, if you want to spend 500 dollars though, get the 70-300mm Canon IS USM lens, it’s better, but 5 times the price.
Amazing lens for the price

I got this lens for my Canon XSI. I am sure you can get a better 75-300mm lens if you spend a lot more money of course. I was a little concerned about not having IS on this lens but I figured for $100 I could deal with this by taking multiple shots and hoping half weren’t blurred and half were decent enough to select from and use. Well I was pleasantly surprised by the clarity of the images even at full 300mm. When the lens arrived today I took it outside and took a few photos of a flower in my front yard, just to test it out. It was windy so the flower was swaying back and forth and I wasn’t making a concerted effort to hold the camera still in my hands, and the image came out very clear and much better than I expected. I then took a few pictures of my cat at the full 300mm inside my house while he was eating. Again I got really nice pictures, although I had to have the flash on inside (tried without the flash and came out blurry) I figure with this lens I am going to be using it mostly for outdoors, and if I do use it inside I will likely use a tripod if I can’t use the flash. But for outdoor use based on what I took today I don’t think I will need the tripod, so again I am pleasantly surprised.
The build quality is better than I expected for this lens. Although it is plastic (frankly I don’t understand why people complain about a plastic lens, unless you abuse your lenses I think a plastic exterior is just fine, unless of course you want to spend hundreds for more not having plastic) the build quality is very good. The auto focus was also very quick and although some users note the noisy auto focus as a con, I don’t think it is noisy at all. Overall this lens far exceeds my expectations in every category. If you’re an amateur or novice to somewhat serious photographer I don’t think you need a telephoto lens that costs more than this one. I am really glad I bought this lens.
